The Canadian Songwriting Challenge is a Vancouver Base, 3 day Songwriting experience held at Nimbus School of Recording Arts and presented by Bell Media. Basically they put people into groups of 3 and task us to write and record a song over the course of three days. They have mentors and engineers available to coach us and prompt us to make our songs better and at the end of the three days we have a cool demo and a bunch of new songwriting friends. Nimbus is an amazing facility and always a pleasure to hang and record there. Through in open mic’s and professional mentoring and you have an incredible experience! This way my 4th year attending and it is always amazing. These photos were taken at the open mic night, in their new Live room, where students learn live music production techniques – Sound and Light. They made us sound great and feel like rock stars!
